All are invited to bring your appetites and join us for this year’s Reclaim Men’s Retreat Chili Cookoff Sunday, May 18 after second service. The cookoff is to help raise money to offset costs for all who will be participating in this year’s Men’s retreat taking place August 13 – 18 (more information and sign ups for the men’s retreat coming soon). Here’s how the chili cookoff works: alumni from last year’s men’s retreat will be cooking various pots of chili. You then go around and sample each type of chili and donate to your favorite chili. Toppings, sides and drinks will be provided. Join the fun and support the upcoming retreat!
Join us at 6:30 pm on May 8, 15 and 22 for “Missions 101.” We’ll be looking at prayer, evangelism, and culture – whether your missions field is around the globe or just down the street, gather with other believers to be encouraged in loving the world and inviting them to a living, vital, eternal relationship with God. And find out how you can serve on a short-term missions trip with our Roots missionaries.
Sunday, May 25 we’d love to have you stay after 2nd service for a Missions lunch. You’ll hear all about the recent trip to Nepal and all that God is doing in the safe house ministry. Click here if you plan to attend!
Mark your calendars for this year’s VBS, “Magnified!” From July 14 through 18, 6:00pm to 8:30pm each evening, kids ages 4 years through 5th grade will discover the bigness of God in the smallest of things. There will be music, games, Bible teaching and memory, and of course…snacks! Registration opens here on June 1st!
We’re thinking ahead to graduation season. If you have a high school graduate in your family, whether they attend youth group or not, please get in touch with Matt or the church office. We will be honoring high school graduates on Sunday, June 1 after the service and we’d love to make sure your graduate is included.
Calling all moms of littles! We’re excited for Coffee & Crayons, a once a month hangout time for moms to bring their young children, ages 0-5, and have a giant playdate while making new friendships and connections with other moms. Join us here at Roots for our first Coffee and Crayons on Thursday, June 5 from 10-11a. Coffee for moms and a light snack for the kids will be provided. No need to sign up. Invite a friend!
